Sabal was crying out and growling in pain and irritation as the sounds of the priestesses around her encouraged her to push. One of them got close enough to pat the beads of sweat from her forehead ... only to have the claw like nails on her hand slash out and take the woman's throat.

After that, no one bothered with her sweat. Still, she breathed and pushed as she was bade until the sounds of a child broke the silence, echoing in the birthing chamber. Sabal had just given birth to her second child, and Lolth blessed be ... it was another girl. In the best care her money could buy, the newest addition to her guild was taken over to the washing table and cleaned, despite its protest of crying.

Deep down, as Sabal's mismatched eyes looked onto the child as she was wrapped in a towel and brought over to her, she could not deny that in her heart she was both happy at its coming, and deeply saddened remembering her first one. The memory had burned into her heart and mind, and just that made her boil with unrivaled hate for the demon drow who called himself Exile.

Xytres had killed him once before and yet he returned. It was for the best though, she imagined. Xytres had stock in this too, but it wasn't the same. In Sabal's mind, the death and SOUL of Exile would be hers to claim and destroy. When she was done, there would be no second or third comings for the vile demon drow. There would only be The End.

Justly, she had even named her blade that very thing, waiting for its vorpal edge to take the head from that drow and then destroy its very soul. Yes ... it would be sweet.

Another time though, she realized as she looked down to her new bit of private joy in her life, her heart dismissing the hate and instead soaring, something quite uncommon for her kind. It was different for Sabal though. She not only wanted children for strength ... but because she truly wanted them. And this little piece of chaos she knew she already loved.

What a piece of chaos she was too. Her hair had taken on that of the mother's and father's it seemed. Even the little bit she had on her head, there was no white ... only a mixture of black and purple locks. Its eyes too showed the strangeness as one eye was green and slitted while the other was silver. Her body held even the tell tale sounds of small scales, that part thanks to the draconic heritage that Sabal herself held within her veins.

Sighing almost happily as she cradled the child, soon the small miracle started to cry. She was likely hungry. So the warrior drowess handed her over to the wet nurse to care for her, someone that she and Xytres had searched long and hard for, someone that could actually be trusted.

Oddly enough, the girl, Senrel, was NOT drow but only half that. Her other half had been that of a human woman. Outcast by the rest of the drow community, the two had given her a home so she no longer had to live off the streets. She had a rare gift in the world of being able to produce milk without ever having bore a child of her own. As well, she didn't seem capable but loved them just the same. They had even seen into her heart and oddly enough saw no evil there. She was a strange one there was no doubt, but she was also trustworthy. Above all else, Sabal needed that security in her mind above any and all others. And if that wasn't enough, Xytres had spoke that the street urchin was actually capable of moving through shadows, something important in case an intruder should arrive.

To her, Senrel was a dream and as the wetnurse and caretaker of her child went off to get started on her duties, she breathed a sigh of relief. It was done ...

The clerics didn't bother working on her, stitching her up or anything such as that. It wasn't needed for the shadow draconic bloodline she carried held its own secrets. Among those was the darkness licking her wounds and within half a minute, the woman was back to new, as if she had never even been with child. Stretching and standing only a couple minutes after her birth, she could not even imagine what it must be like for most people. Her self healing powers kept her from even needing to take spells to ease the pain. She was capable enough on her own.

She patted the heads of one of the hired servants as they started to drag away the body of the poor soul who had gotten to close, before exiting the room and going to seek out her lover.

*************

It wasn't hard to find one such as Xytres. When all else failed, check the training grounds. And of course, more often than not, he was there, just as he was now. She watched from a distance as the white and purple haired male was in the middle of a giant training exercise with other students and guild members. There was only one challenge left in this guild that the drow ever had trouble besting and that person was not among those circling him now and failing to succeed at landing a blow.

Dressed in her usual white robes trimmed in green (this current outfit secretly laced with mithril chain link), Sabal moved closer until she was walking in the midst of the fallen students who were now picking themselves up and leaving the Sparring Circle, bested rather shamefully.

Xytres' silver orbs looked straight to her, his eyes narrowing a bit as he gazed up and down her body, stopping at her stomach. "... it went well?"

"It did," she commented before willing her sword and shield from magical storage on her necklace and into her hands. The long sword was beautifully crafted, drow craft was rumor yet enchanted with powers from the abyss itself. It was said its wickedly crafted blade took great pleasure in severing the heads of its victims ... and if called to do so could even trap a man's soul, keeping him from ever crossing over. And should its owner feel particularly devilish ... could simply let her sword feed from any stored soul, destroying it. Because of that, her name of The End she had given it was well suited.

"So tell me, male, do you plan on boosting your ego by simply battling students all day?" she cooed, her long black bangs falling over her right eye quite seductively as she stretched a bit, her large bosom purposefully coming close to falling out to distract him.

Xytres couldn't keep the wry smile off his own ebony lips. "I would hardly say my ego is swollen ... but perhaps now that you're here other parts of me may be."

Sabal smiled and blew her lover a kiss. "Lets see if you've gotten any better"

"And lets see if you've gotten any worse," he replied with a wink.

The two dark souled lovers clashed blades and danced their unique dances, working at each other to try and find that opening. Their games always lasted long, for the first one to make three cuts was the winner. As such, Sabal with her strength usually played the offensive while Xytres tried to dance about and sweep in when the moment was right. Still, Sabal's steel shield held effortlessly in her surprisingly strong grasp was not just for show, and whenever he tried to make that connection his blade was forced to skid off the front of the object, keeping her rather safe.

"For someone who just gave birth, you seem full of energy," Xytres commented, flipping in the air and skidding quickly back to avoid being hit.

Sabal smiled ever so sweetly to the male. "For someone who hasn't, you seem rather slow."

Xytres actually laughed a bit at that, finding her humor always a bit refreshing. She was a woman after his own black heart. And he wouldn't have it any other way ...

********

Later in bed, the two were laying comfortably beneath the silky white sheets, Sabal and Xytres holding one another close as she rested her head on his chest. The pair were beyond anything normal in this world, but they were not ashamed. They were drow who could find trust and love in the Dark Lands, something more of a myth and fairy tale then anything that should have been possible.

After just laying there for some time after their second round of *sparring*, Sabal whispered the words ever so softly. "... I'm going to hunt him down."

Xytres didn't even have to ask. "I know."

"I'm going to kill him," she said next, running a clawed finger over his bare torso, right where she had landed the third cut in their practice and won their game.

"I know," he said again, though his words were full of no mockery, just simple belief. He did not doubt her. He didn't think he COULD doubt her.

"... and this time ... he won't come back." she finished as she nuzzled into the crook of his arm, almost like a cat might.

Xytres smiled lightly at that part and nodded his understanding. Xytres had helped Sabal aquire her sword and knew well its capabilities. "... the world will be a better place when you do."

Sabal nodded her own agreement as she started to doze off into sleep, her last thoughts that of her blade removing Exile's head from his shoulders. She smiled at that as she started to dream of kicking the decapitated head around as a small child might a ball, giggling happily.

Some people just weren't meant to exist ... Sabal would soon rectify the world's mistake in making Exile.

Sounds like an interesting daughter they have, I'm curious to see what her name will be. lol the part with Xytres and Sabal talking about birth and energy was funny.

And I'd say this didn't need any proofreading, I don't see any typos or something and it looks fine to me
